Library of Arabic Literature: Tenth Anniversary Celebration

This workshop consists of a series of six panel discussions over the course of two days, both to celebrate the Library of Arabic Literature’s achievements and to reflect on challenges and future directions for the series. Scholars, writers, translators, and media figures gather to discuss topics including: the art and craft of translation; LAL’s place in the public humanities; women in the field of translation; and possible futures for LAL. The celebration concludes with a poetry reading in both Arabic and English, open to the public for anyone with an interest in poetry.
