A Conversation With Masoud Amralla: The Godfather of Gulf Cinema حوار مع مسعود أمرالله: عراب السينما الخليجية 

هو شاعر ومخرج وسينمائي إماراتي، عمل مديراً لـ"مهرجان الخليج السينمائي"، ورئيساً لقسم الإنتاج في "المجمع الثقافي في أبوظبي"، وباحثاً إعلامياً في "مركز البحوث والدراسات" التابع لـ"اكاديمية شرطة دبي"، كما شارك في تأسيس "مسابقة أفلام من الإمارات" عام 2001. لقّبه صناع الأفلام الشباب بالأب الروحي للسينما الخليجية. أسس لصناعة السينما الإمارتية عبر إطلاق مسابقة إماراتيون واعدون ضمن مسابقة أفلام من الإمارات. ساهم مسعود بأفكاره وجهوده الكبيرة في النهوض بالسينما الخليجية بشكل عام والإماراتية بشكل خاص. في هذا اللقاء ، سيتطرٌق مسعود أمرالله لمستقبل السينما الخليجية والتحديات التي تواجهها وسُبل معالجتها، كما سيتطرق إلى الواقع النقدي وقراءته للمشهد السينمائي في السنوات القادمة. سيُدير هذا اللقاء الكاتب والسينارست الإماراتي محمد حسن أحمد.

An Emirati poet, director, and cinematographer who has been dubbed the “Godfather of the Gulf Cinema” by young filmmakers, Masoud Amralla is considered one of the main contributors to the rise of Gulf cinema in general and Emirati cinema in particular. In this talk, Amralla discusses the future of Gulf cinema, the challenges it faces, and the ways to address them. In addition, he examines the state of modern film criticism and shares his predictions for cinema in upcoming years.
