The immune system is a cellular network that protects the human body against potential attacks by unleashing an immune reaction to eliminate the threat. This talk discusses how immune reactions, whether causative or reactive, are present in all diseased organs (i.e. liver cancer, psoriasis plaques, asthmatic lungs) and how modulation of immune responses can improve patients’ disease outcome. This talk aims to review major breakthroughs of immune therapies in Cancer and inflammatory diseases and the potential key role of the immune system in Alzheimer diseases and cardiovascular diseases as well as the role of the diet in shaping immune responses emphasizing the impact of food on human health.
